I am not sure how many of you who read me blog know this, but Reagan has been called into the ministry. I guess I really did marry someone with a heart like my dad’s. Read more
Why am I suprised?

I really should be used to it by now.
While I was growing up, it never failed that we go somewhere and my dad would know someone. Because my dad was a pastor a lot of people knew him from the work that he did. But when he became a bus driver that is when it really got bad. Everyone would see him and know him as the bus driver and he never goes anywhere without someone knowing him on way or another. But that isn’t all. When I worked at the drug store everyone knew me, too, for two reasons. First of all they knew me because they were always coming into the store. And when you live in a small town, just so many people are going to come into the store and after a while you see them a lot.
The second reason was because of my dad. They would see me with my dad or mom and know who’s kid I was whenever I was around. Can’t decided if being seen with dad around town was such a good idea. ![]()
Mom and Dad go for daily walks and it never fails to amaze me that when they don’t walk for some reason or another, people start to get worried because they are afraid something is wrong.
But again, I lived and grew up in several very small towns so I expect to know a lot of people because after a while you can see just so many new people in a small place.
But that is not the case here. You would think that because it is a large city, and for all of you know where I live, yes, to me it is very large, you wouldn’t think that you would see very many people that you know.
But my husband is a different story. Just today we walk into a Diary Queen and wouldn’t you know, the girl behind the counter went to school with him. His dad is the same way, but it’s even worse. Last year we went to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico clear in a different state and even time zone and what happens? He sees someone he knows.
Reagan laughs every time I come across someone who knows him or my in-laws. Why am I always surprised? All I can say is, when we move, if we get there and someone says, “Wow is that Reagan?” I am going to die laughing.
Freedom to Fail

“It is better to have tried and failed, than to never have tried at all.”
While driving home the other night I was listening to the radio when a phrase popped out at me. A woman was talking about the fact that she had been struggling for years with an eating disorder. She said that one of her biggest regrets was she was never given the freedom to fail.

Finally after almost a year of silence I am back on the internet waves.
Because it is officially spring now I can use this time for new beginnings and a new post on my rather new blog.
It’s been a beautiful week so far. We are all really hoping for warmer weather that will actually last and we will no longer have to look to jackets, sweaters, and blankets to keep us warm. Read more

As Word Press says as the sample blog, “Hello World!”
It’s that time of year again. One of my favorite times of the year as a matter of fact. I have so many wonderful memories of the 4th of July. I remember when I was a little girl many wonderful years spent at my grandparents house on the 4th of July. I can even remember it being so hot that day that we were told it was the hottest day of the year that year. Read more
